How quality is scored
Each metric is normalised across all resorts and weighted to produce a composite score out of 100. Terrain size uses the full domain figure for multi-resort lift passes.
Total piste kilometres, including linked ski areas covered by a single lift pass.
Difference between summit and base elevation. More vertical means longer, more varied runs.
Higher peaks hold snow longer and offer more reliable conditions late in the season.
Historical consistency of good snow conditions across the season, based on years of weather data.
