Top picks for August 2027
The same bank holiday weekend across two sites: Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds. Ground at Reading turns fast near the river; Leeds heavy clay subsoil is less forgiving and earns the mud reputation in wet years.
Matterley Bowl is a natural amphitheatre, which is beautiful and also means rain collects. Mud risk is high and the steep walk-out pitches make a bad weather weekend memorable.
Music and arts across the grounds of Stradbally Hall.
Seafront stages, live bands and a bank holiday in Southsea.
