Six bedrooms, all ensuite, accommodate a maximum of fifteen guests. When it comes to hospitality, we are looking for the best of the best - highly motivated team players who will make our guest experience exceptional by consistently going the extra mile. Previous experience of hosting, or work within the catering/hospitality industry would be an advantage, although not essential as full, comprehensive training will be given. A willingness to learn, flexibility and the ability to work well as part of a team is, however, essential. Chalet hosting is a role that requires a variety of skills, but first and foremost we are looking for confident, well-presented individuals with warm, friendly personalities, a joie de vivre, energy and a desire to be the best! Your daily duties will include (but are not limited to): - Creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for our guests within the chalet - Mixing and serving drinks - Dinner table setting, service and clearing - Daily housekeeping of chalet & guest rooms - Chalet full turnaround ensuring the chalet is clean and well presented for arriving guests - Assisting the chef and keeping the kitchen clean - Keeping all guest areas clean and tidy at all times - Washing and drying laundry - Ensuring bar, drinks and coffee / tea station is stocked and clean When driving you will be responsible for guests in our vintage Land Rover Defender. The safety of our guests and team is paramount so we need team members to be confident drivers in all weather conditions. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Driving guests safely, and comfortably, to and from ski lifts, restaurants, shops etc - Loading and unloading guest skis / boards onto the vehicles and returning all equipment to the boot room at the end of the day - Liaising with our equipment provider in the event of any guest issues - Bringing in ski boots from boot room to ski chalet for guests in the morning - Maintaining, fuelling and cleaning all company vehicles to a high standard both inside and out - Responding to, and co-ordinating directly, with guests for smooth collection / pick up - Cleaning and maintenance of hot tub and outdoor areas - Snow clearance - Firewood restocking, clear and re-lay fire in chalet - Chalet maintenance, as needed We recognize the high value of an excellent team - our success is based on the experience you provide to guests – and, in recognition, we offer an excellent package of benefits and working conditions. You will be employed on a French contract fully compliant with French labour laws.
