Gert Lush Event Bars is an award-winning mobile bar specialist, delivering top-tier refreshment services across the Southwest. From shaking cocktails on the clifftops of North Devon to blending smoothies in the peaceful countryside or pouring pints at vibrant city events, no two days are the same! The Role: Bar Assistant This is the perfect time to join our growing team, with plenty of opportunities for progression. We specialise in weddings and high-profile events, ensuring every couple’s special day is flawlessly delivered—because we only get one chance to make it perfect. As a Bar Assistant, you’ll play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience for our clients and their guests. Working Pattern Most of our events take place on Saturdays, with the occasional midweek event. This makes the role ideal if you’re looking for a high-quality weekend position to generate additional income, while still offering variety throughout the season. What You’ll Be Doing: - Preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to a high standard - Delivering exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner - Handling cash and card transactions accurately using our till system - Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the bar area, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations - Restocking and replenishing the bar throughout shifts - Assisting with bar setup and pack-down at events - Monitoring alcohol consumption and adhering to responsible serving guidelines - Working as part of a fun, supportive, and energetic team to ensure smooth service Who We’re Looking For: - Personable, presentable, and passionate about great customer service - A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic - Previous bar or cocktail experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends - Ability to commute to our unit in Dawlish or Exeter - A clean UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
